Terms of Service

1. Agreement and incorporated terms

These SignUpBud Terms of Service ("SignUpBud Terms") are a product-specific supplement to the InsightFeed Terms of Service, which are incorporated into this agreement. Together they form the "Terms." SignUpBud is operated by KirklandSoftwareEngineering LLC ("InsightFeed," "we," "us," or "our"). If these SignUpBud Terms conflict with the InsightFeed Terms about this service, these SignUpBud Terms control for SignUpBud.

If you do not agree to the Terms, do not access or use SignUpBud.

2. The service

SignUpBud lets organizers create and share online sign-up pages and lets participants select spots, volunteer roles, requested items, appointments, or RSVP options. Features, limits, and availability may vary or change over time.

3. Eligibility and accounts

Account holders must be at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority where they live and able to enter a binding agreement. If you use SignUpBud for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept the Terms for it. Provide accurate account information, keep account credentials and management links confidential, and promptly report suspected unauthorized use.

4. Organizer responsibilities

Organizers are responsible for their sign-ups and must:

• Have the rights and permissions needed for content, images, and information they submit.
• Describe the sign-up accurately and honor commitments made to participants.
• Collect only information reasonably needed for the sign-up and use it lawfully.
• Give required privacy notices and obtain required consent, including for minors.
• Protect participant information, management links, roster exports, and downloaded records.
• Comply with applicable laws, organizational rules, and accessibility obligations.

Do not request or submit passwords, one-time codes, government identifiers, payment-card data, protected health information, or other highly sensitive data through sign-up fields, notes, or support forms.

5. Participant use

Participants must provide accurate information, use sign-up pages only for their intended purpose, and avoid interfering with other responses. A public or private link is not an endorsement of the organizer or event. Participants should verify the organizer before sharing information or acting on instructions. Organizers—not InsightFeed—are responsible for the activities described on their pages.

6. Your content

You retain your rights in content you submit. You grant InsightFeed a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, process, display, transmit, and modify that content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, improve, and support SignUpBud and comply with law. You represent that your content and our permitted use of it do not violate law or another person's rights.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use SignUpBud to:

• Break the law, facilitate harm, deceive people, harass others, or violate their rights.
• Upload malware, probe security, bypass limits, scrape the service, or disrupt its operation.
• Send spam or unauthorized messages, impersonate others, or misrepresent affiliation.
• Publish unlawful, infringing, hateful, exploitative, or sexually explicit content.
• Resell or provide access to the service except with our written permission.

8. Communications

You agree to receive operational communications needed to provide the service, including account, security, sign-up, response, and support messages. Organizers are responsible for having a lawful basis to contact participants and for honoring applicable communication preferences.

9. Third-party services

SignUpBud relies on third-party services for functions such as authentication, hosting, email, and security. Third-party websites and services may have separate terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for services we do not control.

10. Availability, changes, and limits

We may add, change, limit, suspend, or discontinue features or the service. We do not promise that SignUpBud will always be available, error-free, or suitable for emergencies or other safety-critical uses. Free features and limits may change. We will provide notice when required by law.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using SignUpBud at any time and may request account deletion through Help. We may suspend or terminate access when we reasonably believe use violates the Terms, creates risk or harm, or when needed to comply with law. After termination, access to content may end and data may be deleted or retained as described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Disclaimers, liability, and disputes

The warranty disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity provisions, governing law, dispute process, and other general legal terms in the incorporated InsightFeed Terms of Service apply to SignUpBud. Please read them carefully; they affect your legal rights.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as SignUpBud or applicable law changes. We will post the updated Terms, revise the date above, and provide additional notice when legally required. Continuing to use SignUpBud after updated Terms take effect means you accept them.
