Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated: September 4, 2026

SignUpBud collects the information needed to create, share, and manage sign-ups. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

1. About this policy

SignUpBud is a service of KirklandSoftwareEngineering LLC ("InsightFeed," "we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when organizers, participants, and visitors use SignUpBud. It supplements the broader InsightFeed Privacy Policy. If the policies conflict about SignUpBud, this policy controls for the SignUpBud service.

2. Information we collect

Organizer account information

When an organizer creates or uses an account, we may collect a name, email address, authentication identifiers, account settings, and security and login records. Passwords are processed by our authentication provider; SignUpBud does not receive a readable copy.

Sign-up content

Organizers provide event titles, descriptions, dates, times, locations, requested items or roles, capacity settings, images, organizer notes, and other material used to create a page.

Participant responses

Participants provide a name and email address and may provide a phone number, note, chosen spot or RSVP, quantity, and notification choices. We also record response status and time.

Support and technical information

We collect information sent through our help form, including name, email, topic, and message. Our systems may also receive IP address, browser and device details, request logs, security events, and diagnostic information needed to operate and protect the service.

3. Google account data

If an organizer chooses Google sign-in, we request basic identity information: Google account name, email address, profile information, and an account identifier. We use it only to authenticate the organizer, create or connect the SignUpBud account, display account details, and protect the service.

SignUpBud does not receive the organizer's Google password and does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Contacts, or Calendar. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or share it except with service providers needed to deliver authentication, security, hosting, and support, or when required by law.

4. How we use information

  • Provide, personalize, maintain, and improve SignUpBud.
  • Authenticate organizers and secure accounts and public sign-up pages.
  • Record responses, manage capacity and waitlists, and show organizers their rosters.
  • Send account, confirmation, update, security, and service communications.
  • Respond to support requests and investigate errors, abuse, or fraud.
  • Comply with law, enforce our terms, and protect users, the public, and our rights.

5. How information is shared

We may disclose information to:

  • Organizers. The organizer of a sign-up can see participant response and contact information submitted to that sign-up.
  • Service providers. InsightFeed infrastructure and vendors supporting hosting, authentication, email, security, and support—including Amazon Web Services, Cloudflare Turnstile, and Google when Google sign-in is chosen—process information for us.
  • Legal and safety recipients. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, or valid government requests; enforce terms; or protect rights, safety, and service integrity.
  • Business transaction recipients. Information may transfer as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

6. Public pages and private details

Published sign-up pages may be accessible to anyone with the link and display organizer-provided event information. Depending on the organizer's settings, a page may show participant initials. Public pages do not display participant email addresses, phone numbers, or private notes. Participants should submit information only to organizers they recognize and trust. Organizers must protect management links and roster information.

7. Cookies and device storage

We use essential cookies and browser storage for authentication, security, navigation, drafts, demo data, and saved preferences. Cloudflare Turnstile may set or read data needed to detect automated abuse. SignUpBud does not currently use third-party behavioral advertising or behavioral analytics trackers.

8. Retention, correction, and deletion

We retain information as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain sign-up history, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect security. Archived sign-ups may preserve response history. Backup copies may remain until they age out through normal retention cycles.

To request access, correction, or deletion, use our account deletion request form or email support@insightfeed.com. We may need to verify identity and may retain information when law or legitimate security and recordkeeping needs require it. Organizers should contact participants whose information they collected if a request concerns the organizer's own records outside SignUpBud.

9. Security and location

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. SignUpBud is operated in the United States; information may be processed and stored there and in other places where our providers operate.

10. Children and minors

SignUpBud is not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 should not create accounts or submit personal information directly. Account holders must be at least 18 or the age of legal majority where they live. An organizer using SignUpBud for a school, youth team, or other group involving minors is responsible for providing required notices, obtaining appropriate parent or guardian consent, and limiting requested information. Contact us if you believe a child submitted information without appropriate authorization.

11. Your choices and rights

You can choose not to provide optional information, manage communication choices presented in the service, and request access, correction, or deletion. Depending on where you live, privacy law may provide additional rights. We will not discriminate against you for making a valid request.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as SignUpBud or applicable law changes. We will post the revised policy here, update the date above, and provide additional notice when legally required.
